The club does not offer training directly but does have an association with RYA recognised establishments. The club recognises the value of formal training and offers subsidies for members that complete selected courses. The club has arranged discounts with two providers and is also offering contributions to adult or cadet members undertaking RYA certified courses:
> Sailing Level 1-2.
> Powerboat 2 or Safety Boat (With the expectation that some support boat duties are undertaken after the course has been completed)
> BCU Start Kayaking.

Essex Outdoors at Bradwell offer a 20% discount to members. They also offer free accommodation in Bell tents to course participants. Perfect Day Watersports in Leigh; Mike can be contacted through the links shown on his website; https://www.perfect.uk.com Mike offers 10% discount to members (your name in the members list in the handbook will prove membership). The initial course costs are lower thus the total discounted cost is similar to Essex Outdoors.
